People sometimes tell us they nearly got in touch for months. They typed a message and deleted it. They saved our number under a different name and waited. If that is where you are right now, this post is for you. Here is exactly what happens when you contact The Jessica Project.
You choose how to start
You can fill in our short form, send an email, or call. You only share what you want to share, and you can use a different name. You do not need to describe what happened, and you never have to prove anything to us. Something like I do not know where to start is a perfectly good first message. We hear it often, and we know what it costs to send it.
You tell us how it is safe to reply
Before anything else, we ask how you would like to be contacted. A certain number, an email address, only at safe times. We will never reply out of the blue. You set the terms, and we keep to them.
A real person replies
Not a script, and not an automated reply. Someone who has walked this path herself reads your message and gets back to you, usually within two working days. There is no waiting list and no threshold to meet. You do not have to be in crisis, and it does not matter whether it happened last week or twenty years ago.
Then you set the pace
Maybe you want to join a group. Maybe you want one conversation and then some space. Maybe you are not sure yet. All of that is fine. Nothing happens that you do not choose, and you can pause or stop at any time.
Everything we offer is free, and everything stays between us. If you have been thinking about reaching out, you can start here, whenever you are ready.
