Six-week Violence Against Women and Girls training programme

September 16 - October 21

From Wednesday 16 September, The Jessica Project and Power of Parenting (POP) are delivering a six-week Violence Against Women and Girls training programme, completely free thanks to the generous support and funding of Winkfield Parish Council.

Because we believe that if we want to build healthier, safer communities for everyone, we have to be willing to open up the conversations that matter.

We need to talk to our young people about healthy relationships, consent, misogyny, harmful behaviours, online influences, respect and safety. But we also need to make sure the adults around them are equipped to have those conversations too.

The programme is built for teachers, school staff, parents and carers, and our wider community.

With changes to the curriculum bringing many of these conversations further into our schools, there has never been a more important time to ensure the adults supporting young people feel informed, confident and empowered.

Across the six weeks we cover domestic abuse, sexual violence, adverse childhood experiences, why language matters, stalking, online violence and coercive control.

Sessions run on Wednesday evenings in Winkfield, in person, and are completely free to attend. The programme runs until Wednesday 21 October.

We are incredibly thankful to Winkfield Parish Council for recognising the importance of prevention and supporting the shared aims of our two Bracknell-based organisations.

Six weeks. Real conversations. Practical education. Safer communities.

Places on this programme are by invitation only, and priority is given to those within the Winkfield Parish Council area.

If you live or work within Winkfield Parish and would be interested in joining us, please email thejessicaproject@outlook.com.
